Count trips before buying the pass
Unlimited transport sounds convenient, but it is not automatically cheaper. Estimate your normal number of rides and compare that with the pass price.
Include airport transfers only if they are actually covered.
Check zones and validity
A cheap pass can become useless if your accommodation sits outside the central fare zone.
Also check whether the pass uses calendar days, fixed hours from activation or a specific start date.
Convenience has value too
Even when the savings are small, a pass can reduce friction because you do not need to think about each ride.
For a long stay, recurring transport is a real budget category and should be compared carefully.
